Our Horses

Champions in the Arena, Partners in Learning

At Hindle Horsemanship, our lesson horses are more than just partners in the arena—they’re the heartbeat of everything we do. Each horse and pony brings unique experience, temperament, and personality, allowing us to match every rider with the perfect equine companion.

Meet the Heart of Hindle Horsemanship

Our lesson horses are the true heart of Hindle Horsemanship. We are proud to offer a carefully curated team of horses and ponies that come from all walks of life—each one bringing something special to the arena. From retired Campdrafting champions to schoolmaster Dressage ponies, our horses reflect the diversity and adaptability of the equestrian world. They come in all shapes, sizes, and temperaments, which allows us to match each rider with the perfect partner.

Competition Horses

At Hindle Horsemanship, Alex is proud to campaign a number of client-owned horses, giving them valuable experience and exposure in the campdraft arena. Campaigning allows horses to develop under pressure, showcase their ability, and achieve results while being presented with professionalism and care.

One of the standouts is Sheza Fancy Cat (affectionately known as Queen), co-owned by Alex Hindle and Lois Cameron. Queen has become a consistent favourite in Alex’s competition string, admired for her talent, heart, and reliability.

Together, Alex and Queen have enjoyed great success in the campdraft arena, with two wins to their name and numerous placings across a variety of drafts. Their partnership has also earned them a place in the Ladies Silver Cup and a placing in the prestigious Canning Downs Campdraft. Horses like Queen highlight the strength of our competition team and the results that come from careful preparation, ethical training, and consistent campaigning. Owners can take pride in knowing their horses are given every opportunity to shine both in and out of the arena.

Our Lesson Horses

Our horses are true professionals—patient, well-schooled, and reliable. We regularly reassess and rotate them based on fitness, suitability, and rider needs. As riders progress, we match them with more advanced mounts to support their development and confidence.

Above all, our horses are loved. They’re not just lesson partners—they’re part of the Hindle Horsemanship family, and their wellbeing always comes first.

Horses for Sale

Because we invest heavily in producing educated, well-rounded horses, we regularly offer a select number for sale.

You can find our current sale horses on the Hindle Horsemanship Facebook page, or you’re welcome to get in touch if you’re searching for something specific — we may have a suitable horse coming up.

We also support clients through the buying process, including:

  • attending inspections
  • speaking with sellers
  • reviewing videos and footage
  • helping assess suitability and safety

Our goal is to help you make a confident, informed choice

Horse Leasing

For in-house clients, we occasionally offer horse leases, depending on horse availability and suitability. Leasing is an excellent stepping stone for riders who are preparing for horse ownership or who want a more consistent riding experience without the upfront costs and long-term commitment of purchasing a horse.

Our leases give you the opportunity to:

  • Ride the same horse regularly, building confidence and partnership
  • Develop responsibility in horse care, handling, and horsemanship
  • Experience what horse ownership feels like in a supported environment
  • Continue progressing between lessons with a horse that suits your goals and level

Leases are structured to ensure the wellbeing of the horse and the safety of the rider, and each lease arrangement is customised based on the horse’s workload, fitness, and the rider’s needs. If you’re considering leasing, we’re happy to discuss options and help you find the right match when horses become available.
