At Hindle Horsemanship, our breeding program is small but intentional. We aim to produce quality horses with sound conformation, kind temperaments, and the versatility to succeed in a wide range of disciplines — from dressage and working equitation to campdrafting and recreational riding.
Meet Our Stallion: Guajiro Cap
At the heart of our program is Guajiro Cap, our imported Lusitano stallion. Guajiro is an exceptional example of the breed — known for his softness, trainability, and fantastic temperament. He showcases an array of advanced dressage skills and trick training, including piaffe, passage, bow, lay down, sit, and balanceo. He carries bloodlines of both bullfighting and dressage horses.
Guajiro is naturally very cowy, making him suitable for various working disciplines, yet his calm nature and incredible movements also make him a standout in the arena. His offspring are expected to excel in sports like working equitation, campdrafting, and dressage, and will suit confident riders looking for a willing, trainable partner.
Guajiro was recently assessed and approved as a registered stallion in the Lusitano Studbook of Portugal, where the assessor remarked on his incredible temperament and genuine Lusitano type. It’s a recognition we’re very proud of, and a reflection of the quiet, consistent way he has been produced.
Guajiro Cap is currently standing at stud at Hindle Horsemanship.
Frozen semen is available for outside mares throughout Australia, and we’re happy to assist with logistics and guidance during the breeding process.
Our Approach
We work with a small number of carefully selected mares that are proven in both temperament and performance. From retired competition mares to reliable schoolmasters, our broodmares are chosen for their quiet natures, great confirmation, and trainability.
Foals born at Hindle Horsemanship are raised with attention to proper handling, nutrition, and socialisation. While a small number may be retained for our lesson or competition team, we occasionally offer young horses for sale to approved homes.
