School-Aged Children (Ages 6–17)

Building Skills, Confidence, and a Love for Horses

Our School-Aged program helps children aged 6–17 grow their riding skills and horsemanship in a fun, safe, and supportive environment. Lessons combine hands-on horse care with riding, teaching responsibility, confidence, and a deeper connection with their horse.

Hands-On Horsemanship for Growing Riders

Our School-Aged Children’s riding lessons are designed to guide young riders through a progressive, confidence-building journey with horses. Whether your child is brand new to riding or already has experience in the saddle, our team will help develop their skills in a fun, safe, and supportive environment.

Each lesson is a hands-on experience that goes beyond just riding. We teach children how to groom, tack up, and care for their horse—nurturing responsibility, empathy, and horsemanship from the ground up. Students are paired with horses suited to their level and personality, and as they grow in confidence and ability, they are matched with more challenging mounts to support continued development.

What to Expect:

  • Confidence-building riding instruction tailored to ability
  • Hands-on learning with grooming, tack, horse handling, and safety
  • Opportunities to try different disciplines including dressage, working equitation, trail riding, and gymkhana-style games
  • A positive, inclusive atmosphere where students are encouraged to progress at their own pace

For riders aged 12 and up, we also offer the opportunity to work toward Equestrian Australia Certificates in Introductory Horse Management and Introductory Riding. These nationally recognised certificates are ideal for students preparing for horse ownership or those interested in future work within the horse industry. In some cases, these certificates may contribute toward recognition of prior learning for equine studies or vocational programs.
